4th on Broadway

Civic Lubbock, Inc., Stage Left Productions, and many community partners are organizing this year’s 4th on Broadway celebration on July 4, 2026. The main focus of all entities involved is to honor the legacy, and continue the free, family-friendly tradition Broadway Festivals Inc. started and carried out for 34 years.

The annual Fourth of July celebration will feature a new parade route, an afternoon picnic, evening concert and the fireworks show at the end of the night.

H-E-B’s Parade

• H-E-B’s Parade will step off at 9:45 a.m. from Ave M, head east down Broadway to MLK Blvd.

GECU’s Picnic Under the Stars 

• Picnic Under the Stars will start at 3:00 p.m. at the South Plains Fairgrounds 
• Activities take place from 3PM-7PM and will include:
• Lubbock Music NOW Stage – featuring local musicians
• Leprino Foods Kids Area
• Sonic Classic Car Show
• Arts Row – featuring local arts organizations
• Food and beverage vendors will be on site.

Davis Smith’s Gorilla Law-palooza (South Plains Fairgrounds)

• The Law-palooza will start at 7:00 p.m. – Artists to be announced. 

H-E-B’s Fireworks Extravaganza (South Plain Fairgrounds)

• H-E-B’s Fireworks Extravaganza will start at 10:00 p.m. featuring classic and contemporary patriotic music.
